Caliginous Intentions

Today I decided to do fun makeup and take photos of it! So I guess it is a mini shoot with me. :)

Then I decided to get a bit darker..

There ya have it! This is the result of a makeup artist's boredom. I did a very edgy (literally) purple/black smokey eye using Sugarpill and Urban Decay eye shadows. Nude lips for the first look and deep purple lips for the second. If you were wondering where I got such a sweet hat, I got this baby at the San Jose Fanime Convention this year. It almost has a Russian hat kind of feel to it.. but with ears..

Even though I would probably never wear this look in public, I still find art in makeup. If it sparks something...anything in you.. good OR bad, then I have done my job.

Here is a little family portrait for you..

Ice Queen

A little over a week ago, I got the opportunity to do a really cool themed shoot! I met the lovely photographer Sabina! Our model, Karly had vibrant blue hair that complimented her blue eyes very nicely. We went to a local oak forest that was just insane looking and perfect for this shoot. Some parts of it looked like a scene out of a witch's forest! The theme was "Ice Queen," so I gave her a very frosty look with blue and white eye shadow, silver lips and gem accents. Sabina made the wreath which had pale flowers and feathers. We even got an adorable white husky to top off that arctic look!

This shoot was really fun and well put together even though it was last minute! I hope you enjoy these images as much as I do! <3

Here is a little behind the scenes for ya.

Arcade Sona Inspired Makeup Tutorial!

If you must know, I am a video game nerd.. As soon as I saw the rainbow-goodness of Arcade Sona, I wanted to do makeup inspired by her! I love color and being silly with rainbows on my face so this was perfect!

Painted Earth.

Just a week ago, Michelle Roller and I teamed up for another spectacular shoot! A while ago we came up with this modern native shoot but we never had the opportunity to do it. We found this lovely model, Lia Medeiros, and it just so happened that she had the perfect native looking horse!

     Please enjoy! :)
